Police violence, illegal road occupation... 10 arrested in protest against President Yoon's resignation = South Korea

On the 9th, during a demonstration by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) calling for the resignation of the Yoon Seok-youl administration, an assault on a police officer occurred.
Ten protesters involved in the incident were taken into custody. The police teased the police's strict measures. Ten participants of the "General Rally of the People's Democratic Party" were arrested on the spot on suspicion of obstruction of justice and other offences, and are currently under investigation. They were stopped by police while marching after the preliminary rally held prior to the main demonstration.

The demonstration, which took place around Sungnyemun Gate, was only permitted in certain lanes, but demonstrators occupied all lanes, causing traffic jams.
In response, the police have teased a strong response.
We express our deep regret that the demonstration held by the Confederation of Trade Unions in the downtown area has escalated into a serious illegal demonstration, with the roadway at Se Jeong Boulevard being occupied and police officers being assaulted," he said.
"We will thoroughly investigate any illegal offenders who are arrested at the scene on suspicion of assaulting police officers or failing to comply with orders to disperse, including by applying for arrest warrants."
The official added, "In addition, they assaulted police officers, illegally occupied Se Jeong Boulevard for long periods of time, and refused to follow orders to disperse.
All those found guilty of illegal acts will be identified and analyzed through video recordings and thoroughly investigated. In addition, the chairman of the Democratic Labor Union and other organizers of the demonstrations who planned these illegal acts in advance and instigated them at the scene will also be investigated.
"We will take swift and strict legal action," he emphasized. Meanwhile, in the Gwanghwamun area and Yeouido area, not only the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions but also the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Democratic Party of Korea held teasers demonstrations.
Conservative groups were also teasing demonstrations in opposition to the protests.
