The first hearing of the sentence for Kim Ho-jun, who was put on trial for the charges, will be held. Kim Ho-jun has recently submitted his third letter of apology and is pleading for leniency. Kim Ho-jun was arrested on two consecutive dates on September 5 and October 16.
On the 28th of last month, Kim Hojun submitted his third letter of apology, showing his remorse. In the letter of apology, Kim Hojun said, "I had a lot of time to think and reflect while in detention.
"I will live a life that does not repeat the same mistakes, and I will work hard and improve myself. I will live a good life." With Kim Ho-jun having submitted three letters of apology, there is interest in whether his appeal will be heard.
Kim Hojun has expressed remorse through his letter of apology, but public opinion is negative. Prior to this, on May 9, Kim Hojun was arrested in Apgujeong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
He is accused of causing an accident in which he collided with a taxi on the opposite road in Apgujeong-dong and then fleeing the scene. Kim Ho-jun denies drunk driving. He lied to the management office staff.
He was urged to turn himself in, and because he drank alcohol multiple times after the drunk driving incident, it was difficult to gauge his alcohol intake, so the police have decided to remove the drunk driving charge.
Kim Ho-Jun later turned himself in for drunk driving, but was cleared of the charges.
Kim Ho-Jun also applied for bail in August due to worsening pain in his ankle. Bail is granted when a detained defendant pays bail.
The system allows the suspension of detention and release of incarcerated defendants on the condition that they are released, but no results have been seen yet.
All eyes are focused.
