"Kimjang" is an event where people make a year's supply of kimchi before winter arrives. The event, which began in 2012 and is now in its 13th year, is being held with Toyota Korea and Toyota Motor Corporation from across the country.
Approximately 300 Lexus official dealers participated in the event. This event is a representative social contribution activity by Toyota Motor Korea, and is a program to directly deliver kimchi to vulnerable people.
The event was jointly organized by Toyota Motor Korea and the Seoul Metropolitan Social Welfare Council, and involved the preparation of about 18 tons of kimchi to be given to 11 welfare centers across the country.
Toyota Motor Korea President Manabu Imayama said, "This year's 'Sharing Kimjang of Love' event will bring Toyota and Lexus dealers together across the country to share love with their neighbors in the local community.
"It was a time for us to work hard for the happiness of each and every person," he said. "The employees, united under the name of Toyota and Lexus, prepared kimjang kimchi with all their heart and soul to bring warmth to our neighbors in the winter."
I'm happy to be able to deliver it."
