China's annual production of new energy vehicles exceeds 10 million units, a world first - Chinese reports

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on the 14th, China's annual production of new energy vehicles (NEVs) has exceeded 10 million units, making it the first country in the world to achieve this milestone.
According to statistical data, China's NEV production and sales figures were first included in the statistical system in 2013, when only 18,000 units were produced.
By 2020, annual production will reach 1 million units, and by 2022, it will exceed 5 million units. With only a month and a half left until the end of the year, production exceeded 10 million units on the 14th, reaching 9.587 million units last year.
This is a 4.3% increase from the previous year. Experts expect that the number will exceed 12 million by the end of the year. Over the past decade, under the guidance of national strategies, nearly 100 promotion policies have been announced one after another.
