The investment was decided in January 2021, construction will begin in the July-September period of the same year, and operations will begin in the April-June period of 2024.
The Ivancha plant is performing well, with its yield reaching over 90% in just three months of operation.
The company plans to increase annual production to 30 gigawatt hours in the future, expanding its battery production capacity in Europe to 47.5 gigawatt hours, the largest in the region.
Kim Se-jin, president of SK On's European subsidiary, said, "We are honored to see the birth of 'SK Road', which is based on the trust of the local community."
