LAB filed a lawsuit against ADOR CEO Min Hee Jinformer, who claimed "NewJeans plagiarism" and the lawsuit amounted to about 2 billion won (about 222 million yen).
Previously, Min Hee Jinformer, CEO of HYBE, held an emergency press conference in April this year to announce that she had been trying to take over management rights of HYBE's management company.
They claimed that there was a similarity between ILLIT, a group from BELIFT LAB, which is a member of the group, and NewJeans, a Korean girl group from ADOR, which debuted earlier.
At the time, CEO Jin Former said, "ILLIT is copying NewJeans in every area, including hair, makeup, costumes, choreography, photos, and videos," and added, "This is good for everyone.
This is the same as destroying ILLIT. BELIFT LAB countered that ILLIT did not plagiarize NewJeans.

The information was shared internally, and the source sent the so-called "proposal" on August 28, 2023, which is later than the date of the proposal, and the timing may have influenced the concept of "ILLIT."
"We cannot allow it to happen," he said. In addition, BELIFT, who appeared as a witness at the National Diet Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee's comprehensive parliamentary audit held in October this year,
LAB CEO Kim Tae-ho said, "We have filed a civil lawsuit against Min Hee Jinformer, who brought this case, and are waiting for the decision of the Ministry of Justice.
We plan to continue to follow through and provide evidence and evidence to prove that this is not true through the court."
