President Yoon's approval rating rises for two consecutive weeks in South Korea
A public opinion poll was released on the 25th showing that South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol's approval rating has risen for two consecutive weeks, recovering to the mid-20% range.
According to a survey conducted by the South Korean polling company "Realmeter" on 18-22nd of this month among 2,508 voters aged 18 or over,
President Yoon's approval rating for the third week of November was calculated to be 25.7%. This is a 2.0% increase from the previous week's survey, and President Yoon's approval rating has risen for two consecutive weeks, reaching a high for the first time in six weeks.
The disapproval rate recovered to the mid-20% range. Disapproval was down 2.7% from the previous survey to 70.3%. Meanwhile, party approval ratings (surveyed on the 21st and 22nd of this month among 1,003 voters aged 18 and over)
The Democratic Party of Korea received 44.9% of the votes, the ruling People Power Party received 30.3% and the Fatherland Reform Party received 7.8%.
Since the previous survey, the Democratic Party and the ruling party's approval ratings have fallen by 2.6% and 1.3%, respectively.
The Fatherland Reform Party rose by 2.2%, followed by the New Reform Party (3.2%) and the Progressive Party (1.0%), with other parties at 1.6% and independents at 11.3%.
