According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, nationwide online retail sales in the first 10 months of the year rose 8.8% year-on-year to 12.4 trillion yen (about 264 trillion yen).
This shows steady growth. Of this, physical goods increased by 8.3% to 10.333 trillion yen (approximately 220 trillion yen).
The start of the National Day holiday and "Double 11" (a large-scale e-commerce sale on November 11th) will be brought forward.
In addition to the effects of consumer goods replacement policies, online retail sales in October grew steadily. In particular, the growth in spending on digital devices and services was strong.
Spending on electronic products increased by 14.2%, mobile phones by 12.2%, range hoods by 93%, kitchen stoves by 46.8%, and online services by 15.5%.
The "EC + Industrial Belt" is accelerating the integration of digital technology and the real economy. Industries such as furniture, home appliances, and women's clothing are building industrial brands based on EC platforms.
The cross-border e-commerce platform has promoted flexible manufacturing models and promoted the export of products in which China has competitive advantages.
