China's outward non-financial direct investment up 10.6% year-on-year in January-October: Chinese report

According to an announcement made by the Ministry of Commerce of China on the 21st, China's outward non-financial direct investment in the first 10 months of this year was $115.83 billion (approximately 17.9 trillion yen), up 10.6% from the same period last year.
Of this, non-financial direct investment by Chinese companies in Belt and Road co-construction countries increased by 3.0% to $26.65 billion (approximately 4.1 trillion yen).
During the same period, China's overseas contract construction sales increased 2.0% to $124.38 billion (approximately 19.2 trillion yen), and the amount of new contracts increased 15.3% to $1.
Of this, sales of Chinese companies in contracted construction projects in countries co-constructing the "One Belt, One Road" increased 0.8% to $100.82 billion.
The total amount of new contracts increased 15.7% to $148.64 billion (approximately 22.9 trillion yen).
