Mother in her 30s who killed her one-week-old disabled baby... detained as ”risk of escape” = South Korea

The biological mother in her 30s who killed her one-week-old disabled baby has been arrested. On the 25th, the Cheongju District Court announced the arrest of the biological mother, suspect A (30s), who is accused of murder.
After conducting a preliminary interrogation of the suspect (substantive warrant review), the prosecution issued an arrest warrant for reasons including the risk of flight.
On the 10th of last month, a report was received by the biological father of a one-week-old baby who had died at a postpartum care facility in Cheongju's Heungdeok District.
Baby B, who was determined to have died of suffocation, had a disability in her arm and it was confirmed that she had been staying with her parents in the same room as them at the postpartum care facility until just before her death.
At the time of the incident, suspect A and his wife told police, "When we woke up, we found our daughter dead, face down on the bed," and "We had piled pillows on top of each other to cover the child."
However, an autopsy conducted by the National Forensic Service determined that B-chan's cause of death was suffocation.
The police took note of the fact that the newborn baby was unable to change its position by itself, and seized the suspect couple's mobile phones for further investigation.
The police believe that the couple deliberately killed their disabled child and are continuing their investigation.
