Director Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee's film "Soo Yuchun" was the winner of the 62nd Gijon International Film Festival, according to production company Jung Woo Won and overseas distributor Finecut Co., Ltd. on the 25th.
At the Film Festival, director Hong Sang Soo's 32nd feature film, "Su Yuchun," won the Best Film Award and Kim Min Hee won the Best Actress Award.
The Gijon International Film Festival has been held annually in the port city of Gijon in northwestern Spain since 1963.
It is a historic film festival that aims to showcase films by various filmmakers from around the world and is known as a festival that screens innovative, high-quality, unique and original independent films.
Kim Min Hee also won the Best Acting Award for "Su Yuchun" at the 77th Locarno Film Festival recently.
Director Hong Sang Soo has been working on the film "Right Day, Wrong Day" (2016) at the Gijon Film Festival.
Her previous awards include Best Picture (2015), Alone on the Beach at Night (2017, Best Actress, Kim Min Hee), and Hotel by the River (2018, Best Picture and Main Prize).
"Su Yuchun," which was released in September this year, is currently available to watch on various online streaming sites such as U+TV and Naver Series On.
