On that day, JooWon said, "Basically, in addition to receiving basic training as a firefighter before filming, I also wanted to maintain my mental preparation," and "I was worried about the Hongje-dong fire.
"There were a lot of memories that came back to me as I watched the incident," he said. "The fire was difficult and scary for me," he said. "There were times when it was hard to see because of the amount of smoke, but the fire was what I thought.
It was hotter and I was very scared to see a real big fire in front of me. That was one of the difficult parts," he added.
The film depicts the plight of firefighters who are deployed in harsh environments with the sole goal of putting out the fire and rescuing everyone, and will be released in Korea on December 4th.
