China's Jiangsu province's economy in January-October 'overall stable' - Chinese report

According to the Statistics Bureau of Jiangsu Province, the economy in the province from January to October was generally stable. Major indicators showed almost steady growth, further strengthening the foundation for economic recovery.
In October, the added value of industrial enterprises of a certain size or larger in the province increased by 6.5% compared to the same month last year. Of this, high-tech manufacturing showed a high growth of 10.2%.
The added value of industrial enterprises in increased by 7.6% compared to the same period last year. In the service industry, operating income of service industries of a certain size or larger increased by 8.1% from January to September compared to the same period last year.
Fixed asset investment in the first 10 months of the year increased 1.8% year-on-year. Broken down by category, manufacturing investment increased 8.0%, basic capital investment increased 12.8%, and real estate development investment decreased 9.5%.
In October, the province's total retail sales of social consumer goods increased 4.6% year-on-year. Due to the implementation of consumer goods replacement policies, sales of new energy vehicles increased 56.2%, and sales of home appliances and audio-visual equipment increased 10.4%.
In addition, total retail sales of social consumer goods for the January-October period increased 4.5% year-on-year.
