Lee Sung-jun, head of the public relations office of the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, said at a regular press conference on the 2nd, "There has been a slight increase in (North Korean) trash balloons flying into Seoul," and "More than 30 times."
"They've been flying balloons for a long time now, so they've accumulated technology and experience, and the accuracy has improved in some areas," he said.
"They've flown to northern Wondo in the past, but recently they've been flying toward Seoul, which makes me think they may be doing it on purpose."
