Last month, Hyundai Motor's sales figures for both domestic demand and exports were sluggish. Domestic sales fell 12.3% to 63,170 units, while overseas sales fell 1.6% to 292,559 units.
This is thought to be due to disruptions to production caused by strikes at parts manufacturers and the adverse base effect associated with the new car sales effect in November last year.
Looking at sales trends in the domestic market last month, 17,891 sedans and 20,000 RVs (recreation vehicles) were sold.
Among RVs, the Santa Fe was the best-selling model in the country in November with 7,576 units sold. The Tucson sold 5,583 units, the Casper 3,745 units, and the Palisades 3,745 units.
Among sedans, the Sonata was the most popular with 6,658 units, followed by the Avante with 5,452 units and the Grandeur with 5,047 units.
The Genesis brand sold a total of 10,951 units, with 3,487 G80s, 3,362 GV80s, 3,155 GV70s, and 3,155 G
A Hyundai Motor spokesman said, "We are maintaining steady sales of hybrid cars, which are seeing a rapid increase in demand worldwide, while introducing next-generation models one after another.
"We plan to continue the momentum of expanding sales through these efforts."
