The suspects deposited 500,000 to 900,000 won (approximately 50,000 to 90,000 yen) at once. The court said, "The same crimes were repeatedly committed over a long period of time, and the total amount of damages was considerable."
"We took into consideration the fact that he had no criminal record prior to this incident and that some of the victims did not want him to be punished," he said, explaining the reason for the sentence.
