[2024 Seoul International Film Awards] ”WANNA ONE” former member Park Ji Hoon wins Best New Actor award... ”I was scared of the prejudice of being an idol former member”

Park Ji Hoon, former member of WANNA ONE, won the Best New Actor award at this year's Seoul International Film Awards.
The 2024 Seoul International Film Awards were held on the afternoon of the 5th at Seoul Chun (center).
The event was held at the KRYSTAL Ballroom on the second floor of Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul, and was hosted by entertainers Cho Woo-jung and Jung Daeun.
On the same day, Park Ji Hoon, who won the Best New Actor award for his role in "Audrey", said, "When I was young, my dream was to become a movie actor.
But after I became more well-known, I was probably better known as a former member of an idol group," he said. "To be honest, I was a little scared. I was worried that people would think that an idol is acting, and I was very worried."
He continued, "I listened to the advice and guidance of my seniors while filming, and I wanted to become an actor who could act sincerely, so I studied and consulted with directors, and I think that's how I grew."
"I will always strive to be a true and honest actor. I love, respect and am grateful to Kim Jung Nan, the director of 'Audrey'."
Meanwhile, the awards ceremony started in 2012 as the "Night of Stars - Korea Top Star Awards" and has continued to this day as the "Korea Best Star Awards" until now, with the awards running for 11 years.
Starting this year, the ceremony has been renamed the "Seoul International Film Awards" with funding from the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
