Crypto industry reacts favorably to next SEC chairman

Representatives of U.S. cryptocurrency companies have responded largely positively to President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chairman.

"As the new SEC chairman, I want to be the SEC's chairman," Dowling said in an interview with Bloomberg.
Former SEC Commissioner Paul Atkins called him a "good choice," and current SEC Chairman Gary Gensler said he would "replace the SEC with the role of the Commissioner."
"We expect the new chair to hit the ground running and work with the other committee members to get the job done quickly, and to work with the trade unions and the trade unions to get the job done quickly," he said.
“We hope that our dialogue with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and lawmakers will help ensure clarity and move forward in the new Congress. This will include the stablecoin bill, the market structure bill, and other bills.”
