Former President Moon: ”Impeachment is inevitable”... ”An acting president must be appointed as soon as possible”

Former South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on the 11th, "Unfortunately, impeachment has become an inevitable path."

"While I am appalled by the anachronistic act of democratic destruction known as 'emergency martial law,' I highly value the strong democratic power of our people and the National Assembly," he said.
"It is up to the National Assembly to quickly bring an end to the suffering of the people and the damage to the nation's reputation caused by the martial law civil unrest," Moon said. "At this time when diplomacy is extremely important, we must establish a constitutional constitution that is recognized by the world.
"What is most urgent is to properly appoint a constitutional acting president," he said.
"If we do not establish a constitutional law, it will be impossible to exercise normal military command authority in the event of a security crisis," he wrote. "I urge each member of the National Assembly to give particular careful consideration to this point," Moon said.
