On the 3rd of this month, the National Police Agency's Emergency Martial Law Special Investigation Team confirmed that more than 1,500 military personnel were mobilized during the "emergency martial law" state.
The special investigation team said, "As a result of the investigation so far, the Ministry of National Defense, Army Headquarters, Capital Defense Command, Special Warfare Command, Defense Command, and Intelligence Agency have confirmed that
"We have confirmed that over 1,500 military personnel belonging to the military command have been mobilized during this martial law period," the ministry said on the 15th. This number includes private soldiers. If further investigations are conducted, the number of soldiers mobilized during martial law will be investigated.
The number is likely to rise. The special investigation team has so far investigated 43 active-duty military personnel, including former martial law commander Park An-soo and intelligence commander Moon Sang-ho.
