Korean Confederation of Trade Unions accused of disclosing ruling party lawmaker's phone number... encouraging messages in support of impeachment (South Korea)
The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) has obtained the mobile phone numbers of ruling People Power Party lawmakers in order to induce them to send messages urging the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol.
On the 16th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Anti-Corruption Investigation Unit received a complaint against the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions for alleged violations of the Stalking Punishment Act and the Personal Information Protection Act.
On the 6th, the KCTU published on its website the names, constituencies and mobile numbers of ruling party lawmakers.
The website listed information on ruling party lawmakers by region, with categories such as "Lawmakers who took part in the vote to lift martial law" and "Lawmakers who did not take part in the vote to lift martial law."
The day before, the KCTU also set up a link to send messages urging impeachment to ruling party lawmakers who oppose the impeachment of President Yoon.
