SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) and Minho of the Korean boy group SHINee expressed their sadness seven years after their separation from late member Jong Hyun.
Today (18th) marks the seventh year since Jong Hyun passed away. Jong Hyun was found in cardiac arrest on December 18th, 2017, and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
He was taken to hospital, but passed away. He was 27 years old. Management Office SM responded to this by posting on their official SNS at midnight on the 18th, "We always love you," along with a message to the fans.
Minho, a member of the same group, also quoted this post, adding, "I really love you," in memory of Jong Hyun.
SM has posted a memorial message every year since Jong Hyun passed away. Minho also posted a photo of Jong Hyun on his personal SNS last year, saying, "Thanks to you, it's a warm winter today.
I miss my brother (Jong Hyun) even more." At the time, Minho said, "I just came back from seeing my brother, and I met his mother for the first time in a long time.
"Don't worry, I've comforted you. A lot of people really miss you. I just want to see you. I hope you remember me sometimes. See you later," he said, looking sad.
Meanwhile, Jong Hyun debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 and gained popularity with numerous hit songs. However, he had been suffering from depression for a long time, and when the sad news of his death was reported,
The family of the late Jong Hyun has inherited his will and established a non-profit organization called "Bichina" to provide support to young artists.
Also this year, it became a hot topic when it was revealed that SHINee members made friendship rings, including Jong Hyun.
