An accident occurred in which a robot collided with a passenger car. No one was injured in the accident, but the headlights of the vehicle were damaged. According to the driver of the vehicle, the autonomous robot ran into the side of the vehicle.
The driver crossed the road despite the red light and collided with a vehicle. This news caused controversy after the driver posted on the Internet community.
However, the robot operating company and the driver later came to an agreement. The robot operating company said, "When delivery robots autonomously navigate crosswalks, they will only move if the light is green."
"While remotely controlling the vehicle, the driver saw people crossing the street and misoperated the vehicle, which caused the accident," the company said.
"So far, the delivery robots have never had an accident," he added.
