One of the projects approved this time is the media company Entermedia.
The application is for an "app-linked open karaoke booth." Currently, in order to set up a karaoke booth, the Music Industry Law requires that it must be completely separated from food and customer service establishments, and that it must have aisles and partitions.
There are conditions. In contrast, the "App-linked Open Karaoke Booth" is a karaoke facility that uses an open booth where you can see the surroundings. Two of each will be installed in shopping malls and movie theaters nationwide.
The plan is to install 90 units per year. Woowa Brothers, which operates a food delivery app, also received a special demonstration exemption for its application for "advancing an autonomous delivery robot system using video information."
The idea is to enhance the autonomous driving system by utilizing information obtained by the front robot through sensors attached to it and video information captured by a camera.
The review committee decided that the footage would be used for approved research purposes, and that the autonomous robot would comply with standards for identifying individuals and providing the footage to third parties.
The company plans to conduct demonstration experiments in Seoul and the greater metropolitan area, where the collected footage can be used for business purposes.
