Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung: ”The revolution of light is about to begin”... Urges participation in candlelight rally to impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol (South Korea)
On the 21st, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "The Light Revolution has only just begun, and we have finally overcome one small hurdle," and introduced the impeachment bill for President Yoon Seok-yeol.
Since the bill was passed, he has been encouraging people to participate in the first weekend rally to be held in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. On the same day, Lee posted on his Facebook page, "The revolution of light is continuing."
Lee said, "I hope that Gwanghwamun will shine brighter with more light today. As the writer Han Kang said, the heroes who perished under the guns and swords of the martial law soldiers are standing before me today."
"The light of Gwangju in May went beyond candlelight to a revolution of light, and the rice balls of Geumnam-ro were revived with prepayment in Yeouido," he wrote.
"We will defeat their counterattack against us, who are trying to become our eternal rulers, and prove with our own hands that the people are the masters of this country," he added.
