He hit and killed B (17), who was crossing the sidewalk. A did not stop after the accident, but ran onto the sidewalk on the right side, hitting C (16) and two others.
They were students at a nearby high school and were on their way to school at the time of the accident.
At the time of the accident, Mr. A was turning right toward Mizuni Industrial Road and hit Mr. B, who was crossing the road obeying the pedestrian signal.
He caused an accident without looking, and after the accident, Mr. A panicked and stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the car to run onto the sidewalk.
Mr. A also complained of hip pain and was taken to the hospital. The police then interviewed Mr. A for details of the accident.
