Disaster on the way to school on Christmas Eve... ”I kept pressing the accelerator” = Korea

On the morning of the 24th, Christmas Eve in South Korea, a vehicle turning right crashed into a sidewalk, killing one high school student.
On the 24th, Ansan Sanrok Police Station arrested a driver in his 50s, Mr. A, for a traffic accident.
According to police, A was turning right at an intersection in Bonoo-dong, Sangnok-gu, Ansan-si at around 8:40 a.m. on the same day when he ignored the pedestrian signal and ran into a car that was crossing his path.
He hit and killed B (17), who was crossing the sidewalk. A did not stop after the accident, but ran onto the sidewalk on the right side, hitting C (16) and two others.
They were students at a nearby high school and were on their way to school at the time of the accident.
At the time of the accident, Mr. A was turning right toward Mizuni Industrial Road and hit Mr. B, who was crossing the road obeying the pedestrian signal.
He caused an accident without looking, and after the accident, Mr. A panicked and stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the car to run onto the sidewalk.
Mr. A also complained of hip pain and was taken to the hospital. The police then interviewed Mr. A for details of the accident.
