LG unveils new ”plant appliances,” including lighting and speakers that let you get closer to greenery (Korea)

LG Electronics will unveil a new concept model of its plant-based home appliance "Tiun" that incorporates interior design elements at the consumer electronics and IT trade fair "CES2025" to be held in Las Vegas, USA on January 7, 2025.
The new concept of "Tiun" is a side table with a standard light and a built-in Bluetooth speaker. No matter where you place it in your home,
The feature of this lighting is that it blends in with the interior. The standard lighting type can be used as light-emitting diode (LED) lighting to promote plant growth during the day and as mood lighting at night.
The height is adjustable, so you can grow tall plants. The side table type can be placed next to the bed to create a mood. It also comes with a Bluetooth speaker.
It also comes with a kit containing plant seeds, so you can easily grow plants by adding water and fertilizer, then turning on the LED lights.
In addition, by linking it with LG Electronics' IoT product control app "LG ThinQ," you can not only adjust the time the lights are turned on and the brightness, but also set alarms for when you need to water your plants.
The standard lighting type is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2025. There are no plans to release the side table type yet.
