”2024 MBC Entertainment Awards” to be suspended due to plane crash

The "2024 MBC Performing Arts Awards" will eventually be suspended due to the Muan airliner accident.

On December 29th, MBC announced, "Due to an emergency news special report, '2024 MBC Performing Arts Awards,' scheduled for today, December 29th (Sunday) at 8:30 p.m., will be suspended.We would like to ask for our viewers' understanding," he added.

At around 9:07 a.m. on the 29th, Jeju Air flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed while attempting to land on the runway at Muang International Airport.A total of 181 people, 175 passengers and 6 crew members, were on board, and officials from the Jeonnam Fire Department revealed at a briefing for the families of the passengers at the Muang Airport Office Building that most of the passengers were presumed dead, except for two who were rescued.
