PALMTREE ISLAND, represented by singer Kim Jun Su (Xia), expressed their condolences for the Jeju Airlines passenger plane disaster.
On the 31st, ISLAND expressed their condolences for the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster on their official SNS and temporarily suspended uploading all official content.
"Hello, this is PALMTREE ISLAND. Out of respect for the national mourning period, PALMTREE ISLAND scheduled for this week will be canceled," the statement read.
We have decided to temporarily suspend all official ISLAND content uploads. We ask for the understanding of our fans.
"We would like to express our deepest condolences and sympathy to those who lost their lives in this tragedy and their families. We pray for the repose of the souls of the deceased," he said in his condolences.
According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency and other sources, the plane departed from Bangkok, Thailand with 181 people on board, including 175 passengers and six crew members.
Jeju Air Flight 7C 2216, which had arrived at Muan in 2016, crashed into the runway wall during landing and caught fire, killing 179 people on board. The only survivors were passengers who had been rescued from the tail of the plane early in the search.
The South Korean government has designated the week from today until January 4th of next year as a national mourning period in regards to the accident.
