KBS suspends broadcast of major variety shows... Emergency coverage of documentary ”Jeju Air passenger plane accident”

During the national mourning period following the Jeju Airlines crash, KBS will suspend broadcasts of major variety shows and will replace them with educational and documentary specials.
KBS1TV will suspend the broadcast of its representative educational program "Morning Plaza" this week as well. The long-running program "National Singing Contest" will also be suspended this week, following last week, in consideration of the public's feelings about the large-scale disaster.
TV shows such as "TV Show: Rare and Brilliant Pieces" and "Garden of Korean Music" will also be suspended, but will continue the atmosphere of mourning through alternative programs.
Due to the suspension of broadcasts of "SEASONS-LEE YOUNG JI's Rainbow" and "Gag Concert" this week, the program's public record has also been postponed.
KBS said it will make efforts to minimize confusion by sending separate notices to those who were successful in purchasing spectator tickets.
Other programs such as "Music Bank," "Convenience Store Restaurant," "Me as a Singer in Germany" and "Timeless Masterpiece" will also be suspended this week to mourn the national disaster.
