Daegu Mayor: ”Unable to control the power given to him by the people, it's chaotic” = South Korea

South Korean Mayor Hong Jun-pyo of Daegu said on the 31st, "If we fail to restrain the power given to us by the people, national chaos will occur."
Mayor Hong wrote the above on Facebook that day, pointing out that "the recent situation is exactly like that."
He continued, "We have seen shoddy martial law, runaway legislation, 29 impeachments, and a chaotic National Assembly. Today's emergency situation arose because the people were unable to restrain the power they had been entrusted with, and ran wild and collided head-on.
"It's unfortunate. The year is coming to an end with the national disaster of the Jeju Air Disaster on top of it," he said. "But next year, I hope that all our people will have healed their wounds and are happy.
I pray that something happens."
