Acting President Choi Sang-mok ”will not accept” the resignations of presidential aides

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok, who serves as acting president, has stated his intention not to accept the resignations of the presidential aides.
On the 1st, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance said that Acting President Choi does not intend to accept the resignations submitted en masse by the presidential aides.
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said in a media announcement on the same day, "We believe that we must now focus all our efforts on the welfare of the people and stability of national affairs. We have no plans to accept the resignation."
Meanwhile, the presidential aides at the rank of chief secretary and above tendered their resignations to acting president Choi.
It was reported that Chief of Staff for Policy Tae-yoon, Chief of National Security Affairs Shin Won-sik, Special Advisor for Foreign Affairs and Security Chang Ho-jin, and the Chief Secretary all tendered their resignations to Acting President Choi.
The previous day, the Presidential Office made an unusual statement expressing strong regret over Choi's appointment of two of the three candidates for the Constitutional Court recommended by the National Assembly, saying that he had "exceeded the scope of his authority."
