China's electronic information manufacturing industry's added value in Jan-Nov grew 12.2% year-on-year: Chinese report

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the added value of electronic information manufacturing industries of a certain scale or larger increased by 12.2% in January-November 2024 compared to the same period last year. In November, it increased by 9.3% compared to the same month last year.
Looking at the production volume of major products from January to November, mobile phones increased 8.9% to 1.504 billion units, microcomputer equipment increased 2.1% to 306 million units, and integrated circuits
Exports from the electronic information manufacturing industry recovered steadily. From January to November, the total exports of electronic information manufacturing industries above a certain scale increased by 1.3% year-on-year.
In addition, profits for electronic information manufacturing companies of a certain size or larger were stable. Operating income increased 7.2% to 14.45 trillion yen (approximately 311.5 trillion yen), and total profits increased 2.9% to 565.3 billion yen.
Former sales amounted to approximately 12 trillion yen, and the operating profit margin was 3.9%.
