Presidential Security Service: ”We will hold the Office of Investigation into Crimes by High-Ranking Public Officials accountable for their illegal actions” - South Korea

On the 3rd, the Presidential Security Service said, "We have issued a statement to the High-Ranking Public Officials Crime Investigation Agency and other investigators who entered the official residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol.
"We express our regret and will hold those responsible responsible," the Presidential Security Service said in a statement on the same day, saying, "The Public Prosecutor's Office and the National Guard Headquarters mobilized riot police without any legal basis and raided security areas and military secret facilities.
"We deeply regret that they broke into the facility without permission from the facility director, severely injuring staff members, and entering without authorization."
The Presidential Security Service also stated that it will "take legal action to hold those responsible and those involved accountable for their illegal acts."
"As has been the case under all previous governments, we will continue to ensure that our security missions for those we protect are carried out in accordance with the law and principles," he added.
On that day, the Public Prosecutor's Office approached within 200 meters of the presidential palace, but was blocked by the Presidential Guard and military forces and failed to execute the warrant.
According to the investigation office, 20 prosecutors and investigators from the public investigation office, as well as about 80 police officers, began executing the arrest warrant for President Yoon at around 8:02 a.m. on the same day.
