The ruling party's emergency response committee chairman Kwon Young-sei held an emergency press conference at the National Assembly that afternoon and said, "The arrest warrant issued by the investigation office today
"The execution attempt was extremely unfair and an extremely excessive and unjust act," he said, expressing regret, "It is fortunate that it was halted, but such attempts must never be made in the future."
Meanwhile, the investigation bureau went to the presidential palace in Seoul that morning and attempted to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon, but was thwarted by the Presidential Guard and retreated about five hours later.
