President Yoon: ”Arrest warrant for me is a collapse of the judicial system” - South Korean ruling party lawmaker

Yoon Sang Hyun, a member of the ruling People Power Party, told reporters at the National Assembly on the 4th, "President Yoon Seok-yeol has been arrested for his crimes by the High-Ranking Public Officials Crime Investigation Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Investigation Agency)."

Rep. Yoon met with President Yoon at the presidential palace in Seoul on the 3rd, the day before the investigation agency attempted to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon on the 4th.
Rep. Yoon said, "President Yoon, his lawyer, and I have said, 'The request for an arrest warrant by an investigative agency that does not have the authority to investigate treason is clearly illegal.
"We believe the warrant is invalid and therefore invalid," he said. "Our position is that refusing to comply with the warrant is protecting the Korean Constitution and the rule of law."
