Hyundai to sell cars online in the U.S. in partnership with Amazon - South Korean media
Hyundai Motor's U.S. sales subsidiary has begun selling cars through Amazon.com's car sales service, Amazon Autos.
Prior to this, in November 2023, the company participated in the SEMA Show, an automotive aftermarket exhibition held in Los Angeles, USA.
In a press release, the company announced a partnership with Amazon.com Inc. and revealed plans to sell cars online.
"It is the first and currently only car brand available for purchase through Autos."
Anyone living in the United States can select a product on Amazon Autos, pay for it, and then pick up the car at a Hyundai dealership.
The company also provides financial services for the car. Customers can search for the model, color, and features of the car they want to buy online all at once. After selecting the car they want to buy, they can fill out the paperwork and electronically
Customers can complete an order by following simple procedures such as signing a contract. The company says this process ensures transparent pricing and eliminates the need for price negotiations, which are common in the United States.
Hyundai CEO Jose Munoz said, "Sales on Amazon Autos will reduce the time it takes to buy a car to about 15 minutes."
