Chaeryeong was troubled by Yeongsil's (Lee Si-ah) request to choose between the queen and her. Chaeryeong, troubled, visited the former king's bedchamber in the middle of the night dressed as a young court lady,
"Even if I die, I want to die by the Queen's side," she cried. But in the end, Former Gyeong kicked Chaeryeong out. In anger, Chaeryeong told Court Lady Kim, "I don't want to die old and forgotten in the back room.

When Chae Ryung suggested, "Could you please come visit me at my residence twice a month?" Bang Won was surprised and replied, "Aren't you the one the Queen loves most?"
