韓国与党議員「尹大統領はわれわれが仕える方」…「共に逆行を乗り越える」
South Korean ruling party lawmaker: ”President Yoon is the one we serve”... ”We will overcome setbacks together”
As the execution of the second arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol approaches, ruling party People Power Party lawmaker Yoon Sang Hyun and others visited President Yoon's official residence on the 10th.
According to the Korean news agency Newsis, Rep. Yoon visited the presidential office in Seoul with about 20 members of the steering committee of the ruling party's non-parliamentary party, and then went to the office to meet President Yoon.
On the other hand, the day before (the 9th), Rep. Yoon explained his reasons for trying to protect President Yoon through social media.
Rep. Yoon said, "President Yoon has spent his entire life as a prosecutor and has walked the path of exposing evil.
Those who seem to be like him, whether they are business magnates, politicians, or the president, he fights them according to principle without worrying about what others think, and he has the conviction that "I am not loyal to people. I am only loyal to the people."
"It's frustrating to compare prosecutor Yoon Seok-yeol with president Yoon Seok-yeol. In a political arena where dialogue and compromise are important, if he can distinguish between right and wrong and conduct politics like a prosecutor, he will be able to make steady progress.
"However, isn't it really us, the People Power Party, who brought in such a person as a presidential candidate?"
He knows the advantages and disadvantages of the government, but he has decided to serve us for our needs. At the very least, he should not be able to avoid his responsibility to President Yoon, as a member of the People Power Party.
"Until now, President Yoon has fought against the dark cartels in our society without compromise," he said. "While many politicians have made compromises, President Yoon has always been the one to do so.
"That's why we are facing such a big challenge now. So we must not turn our backs on each other. We must overcome adversity together," he said.
