Counterattack? ... ”FTISLAND” Choi Min Hwan reveals the reason for divorce with former wife YULHEE ”She ran away from home and...”
Choi Min Hwan (FTISLAND) has claimed that his ex-wife Yulhee's (ex-LABOUM) running away from home and sleeping habits were the reasons for their divorce, and it is being watched to see if it will cause another uproar.

On the 13th (today), the Korean entertainment news media ‘Dispatch’ reported an interview with Choi Min Hwan containing such details.

In the interview, Min Hwan said, "There were two crises in my marriage, the first was Yulhee's frequent running away from home and sleeping habits" and added, "Yulhee was not a mother who raised her children well. The pattern was to play at night and sleep during the day", he claimed.

He further revealed that Yulhee had also acknowledged her problems when she told him in August 2023 that she could not live with him any longer.

When Min Hwan was asked if Yulhee's naps were the reason for the fight, he asked her if sleeping 18-20 hours a day was a problem.

He then replied "Yulhee sleeps abnormally much, sometimes 18-20 hours a day. When I told her this, she got angry and left the house; she ran away from home more than 20 times in five years, and who could stand that?"

He revealed that Yulhee ran away from home for a day or two at the shortest and a week to ten days at the longest.

According to Min Hwan, Yulhee apologised for the problem and promised not to do it again.

However, this promise only lasted three days.

Min Hwan said that Yulhee went out at night again two or three days later and returned early in the morning the next day, and that "the day after that, he went out at night as well and came back at dawn. He then went to sleep at noon. In this situation, I decided that I could not sustain the marriage any longer."

The second crisis in the marriage, already known, was Min Hwan's frequent visits to entertainment establishments.

However, he claimed that Yulhee was quite hurt but asked for forgiveness and they reconciled.

Earlier, Yulhee exposed Min Hwan's shop-hopping on his YouTube channel in October last year, and claimed that his inappropriate behaviour was the reason behind the divorce.

At the time, Yulhee revealed that Min Hwan went to the shop and sexually harassed her in front of her in-laws during their marriage. As evidence, she even released a recording of a conversation with a shop official, which contained Min Hwan's comment, "Are there any women here?"

The released recording shows a man, believed to be Min Hwan, going to the club at 5:00 am on the 9th July 2022 and saying to an acquaintance, who told him to "play with your wifey and children on holiday", "Don't be weird. We're together every day. I'm not going home" and looked for a place to play.

Meanwhile, Yulhee filed a child support and alimony/property division lawsuit against Min Hwan in November last year.

She reversed the divorce agreement 180 degrees and demanded 100 million won in alimony and 1 billion won in property division. She also claimed the right to raise the child and requested that she should pay child support until the child reaches adulthood.

The couple caused a stir in 2018 by being named the ‘youngest idol couple’, and appeared happy with one son and two daughters, but their marriage broke up after five years. Currently, Min Hwan has custody of the children.
