Choi Min Hwan returns to Japan with FTISLAND

Choi Min Hwan (FTISLAND) has resumed his overseas activities.

On the 9th, photos of the ‘2025 FTISLAND LIVE “PULSE” IN JAPAN’ performance were released on the official Japanese account of ‘FTISLAND’.

The photos include Lee Hong-gi and Lee Jae Jin of ‘FTISLAND’ and Choi Min Hwan, who announced his return to the group.

Hong-gi, the vocalist of ‘FTISLAND’, once hinted at Min Hwan's return at a fan meeting held on the 2nd, saying, "We need a competent drummer."

Hong-gi said, "We're going to work as two members domestically (in Korea) for the time being, and as three members overseas. After all, there are many people who feel stuck to it. They may have different ideas, but I think we have to respect that. I will make them reflect more, scold them more, and later on, the three of us will return domestically (in Korea) at some point," he explained.

Meanwhile, Minhwan married Yulhee from LABOUM in 2018 and raised one son and two daughters, but they divorced in December 2023. In October last year, Yulhee revealed on her personal channel that Minhwan went to brothels during their marriage and sexually harassed her in front of her mother-in-law in Alexandria.

Minhwan, who subsequently suspended his activities, stated in a police investigation that he had never engaged in sex trafficking, although he frequented brothels.

Minhwan was not prosecuted due to lack of evidence against the charges of violation of the Sex Trafficking Punishment Law and indecent assault.
