The music video for the title song "Baby, Not Baby" can also be viewed on YouTube's SMTOWN channel.
This album includes the pop dance song "B" which is a TV Series-esque track with a punk base and cool electric guitar playing.
A total of six songs, including "aby" and "Not Baby," are recorded, which express the three-dimensional image of SEULGI in an attractive way. Through these songs, you can enjoy the expanded musical world of SEULGI.
In addition, SEULGI will hold a countdown live on the Red Velvet channels on YouTube, TikTok, and Weverse from 5 p.m. today, and will join fans around the world in celebrating the milestone.
It will be a more meaningful celebration of their comeback. SEULGI talked about their second mini album "Accidentally On Purpose". Q.
You're releasing your second mini album about two years and five months after your first solo album. How do you feel about it?
First of all, I'm happy to be able to greet you with a solo album after a long time. With this album, I wanted to capture how I've grown.
I thought a lot about it with the staff. We had a lot of fun preparing for it, so I hope you'll take a good look. Q. The title song "Baby, Not
Please introduce "Baby, Not Baby". Is there a reason why you decided on it as the title song?
"Baby" contains the message of focusing on my true self and not conforming to the image or role that others expect of me.
When I first heard the music, the character I can express resonated clearly with me, and it seemed like it would be fun to work on, so I chose it as the title track. Q.
Through the album jacket and music video, she also tried out a different style of "bad girl" styling.
What was the most memorable reaction? It was a challenge to show a look and concept that was completely different from what we had shown as Red Velvet up until now.
It was white. The character I portrayed in the album comes across as a bad boy who does all sorts of weird things, but I do things that I would never do in my everyday life, so people around me are surprised and excited.
Q. What is the highlight of the music video for the title song "Baby, Not Baby"? Also, do you have any memorable episodes from filming?
Please. I feel like every part is worth watching. Her adorable, precious appearance, her ever-changing styling, and the puffy dances she does with the dancers.
I hope you won't miss the performance. I think the one-man show I did at the end of the music video shoot with my hair all messy and my makeup all smudged is the most memorable.
I was the one who got into the character the most and acted crazy (laughs). Q. SEULGI is known for his intense performances. While you were preparing for the performances for this album,
What part did you pay the most attention to? I really worked a lot with the dancers. We practiced a lot to make the most of the details of the choreography to match the lyrics.
Because the choreography requires you to be strong, I worked hard to train my core. Q. Besides the title track, what other songs on this album would you recommend?
I recommend "Praying." It was the last song I recorded for the album. I was debating which other song to choose, but I couldn't let this one go, and I insisted on it.
Maybe because it's a song that I included in the album, I feel more affection for it. Also, I like this song because I can show you my deeper voice, from low to high notes. Q.
Following your first solo album, you also participated in writing the lyrics for the song "Weakness" on this album. How was the process this time?
Is there anything you'd like people to listen to while listening? When I was working on this song, the lyrics came to me faster than I thought. I tried writing different lyrics to match the lovely mood the song conveys, but...
I was happy that my lyrics were used. There are times when you feel like you have a weakness that you don't want the other person to know about. I hope everyone will listen to this song while thinking of the person they like.
Q: What are your plans for this album and what goals do you want to achieve? When I think about it, I don't think I've ever set limits for myself.
I enjoyed showing a new side of myself, and the sense of accomplishment was what motivated me to keep going. In particular, this album was a fun one, capturing the funny side of SEULGI who has finally cracked the egg and emerged.
I was happy to be able to release this album. I worked hard on this album, so I hope it will be a great present for all the ReVis (nickname for my fans) who love me.
I want to receive the great support of V (fan name) and perform in various places. Q. Last year, Red Velvet celebrated its 10th debut anniversary, and you also started your own YouTube channel.
You have had many meaningful activities. What kind of year do you want 2025 to be? I want to start 2025 by showing a new side of myself through my solo album, so I hope to continue to create good content.
I hope this will be a year where I can show off a lot of my skills. Personally, I want to take more lessons and become a better version of myself. Q.
Lastly, please say a few words to the fans around the world who have been waiting for SEULGI's comeback.
I'm greeting you with a solo album after a long time. Thank you for waiting and for all the messages of support. Thanks to you, I'm able to make the music I want to do better.
I think I was able to do that. Thank you for always being such a great source of strength to me! I will repay you on stage!! Thank you. I love you (heart).
