President Yoon said on his Facebook page that the Public Prosecutors' Office should halt the investigation and withdraw from the treason charges investigation.
Yoon wrote, "The Public Prosecutors' Office is at the center of all this discussion. The crime of treason was never a subject of investigation by the Public Prosecutors' Office from the start, and it has no authority to investigate or prosecute on the matter.
"Despite this, they are mobilizing the police with an unconstitutional and extrajudicial warrant and trying to break into the presidential residence. If they make a mistake, this could lead to bloodshed between state agencies.
"This is an extremely dangerous act that could lead to the arrest of a person who is not a police officer," he said. "The Public Prosecutor's Office should immediately suspend the execution of the arrest warrant and cease all actions that exceed legal authority. The police should not be fulfilling their original duties.
"I hope that you will respond," he said, "The government and the ruling party must thoroughly investigate the extralegal actions of the Public Prosecutor's Office and ensure that a legitimate investigative agency can investigate the crime of treason in accordance with proper procedures."
"It will not happen," he emphasized.
