Moonpay acquires Solana-based payments platform Helio

MoonPay, a fiat-crypto connectivity service, has acquired Solana-based payment processor Helio for $175 million.
Helio is a cryptocurrency payment platform that can accept payments in digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and USDC.
The acquisition will integrate Helio's technology into Moonpay's infrastructure, improving the efficiency of cryptocurrency payments for merchants and marketplaces.
This is expected to enable Moonpay to expand the scale of transactions and the marketplace.
Helio is an e-commerce, digital goods and subscription service.
It is widely used, with over 6,000 merchants using it and over $1.5 billion in recorded transactions.
Helio is already integrated with popular platforms such as Discord, Shopify, and WooCommerce.
The company announced that it will be able to provide a more comprehensive payment solution for merchants, developers and consumers.
