Lee Jae-myung ”tops” in ”suitability for next president” - ruling party ”overtakes” Democratic Party of Korea - South Korean opinion poll
In South Korea, the results of a public opinion poll asking about the suitability of the next president were announced on the 16th, showing that Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, ranked first.
Four South Korean polling companies, Mbrain Public, KEI Stat Research, Korea Research, and Korea Research, conducted a survey from the 13th to the 15th of this month.
According to the National Barrier Survey (NBS), conducted among 1,005 men and women aged 18 and above, the percentage of people who chose Lee as the most suitable person to be the next president dropped by 3 percentage points from the previous survey.

Meanwhile, the approval rating for political parties was calculated as 35% for the ruling People's Power Party and 33% for the Democratic Party of Japan, meaning that the ruling party "overtook" the Democratic Party of Japan.
In the previous survey, the ruling party received 32% of the vote and the Democratic Party of Japan received 36%.
Next were the Fatherland Reform Party (8%), the New Reform Party (3%), and the Progress Party (1%).
