People's Power: ”The illegal arrest of President Yoon Seok-yeol is a judicial coup... The head of the Public Prosecutor's Office should resign immediately” = South Korea
On the 16th, the People Power Party condemned the Agency for Investigation of Crimes by High-Ranking Public Officials, which arrested President Yoon Seok-yeol, calling it a "judicial coup" and a "private army of the Democratic Party of Korea."
At a meeting of the National Assembly's emergency response committee, Kwon Yeong-se, chairman of the People's Power Emergency Response Committee, said, "The Public Prosecutors' Office has essentially staged a judicial coup.
"We will hold the prosecution accountable for all illegal acts it has committed," he said. In particular, Chairman Kwon said he had been investigating the 55th security officer of the Army Capital Defense Command, who allowed the prosecution to enter the presidential residence to execute the arrest warrant.
Regarding the allegation that the head of the security corps' official documents were stamped with the official seal of the corps under duress, he said, "If this is true, it is a serious illegal act that should require the head of the public prosecutor's office to take responsibility, but the public prosecutor's office said, 'There is no such thing.
"The Public Prosecutors' Office, which was created through the Democratic Party's nasty political backroom deals, is a treadmill that tramples on the rule of law," said Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People's Power.
In fact, they proved that they are not an investigative agency of the Republic of Korea, but a private army of the Democratic Party of Korea.
"Like North Korea's National Defense Agency, Lee Jae-myung and his subordinates have fallen into the hands of the Democratic Party's leadership forces in a bid to usurp power," he said.
Also starring in the film are Na Kyung-won, Jo Bae-sook, Lee Cheol-gyu, and Park
About 30 lawmakers, including Rep. Park Dae-deul, visited the Gwacheon Public Prosecutors' Office building in protest. The lawmakers chanted, "The Public Prosecutors' Office, which is destroying the judicial system, should be dismantled," "Judges should be shut down," and "Judges should be shut down."
They shouted slogans such as, "What does it mean to be a police inspector? The Public Prosecutor's Office must be dismantled." Rep. Na said, "Public Prosecutor's Office Chief Oh Dong Woon must resign immediately.
"We will also ask the Democratic Party to investigate the Democratic Party lawmakers," he said. Rep. Cho raised suspicions of coercion and forgery of official seals regarding the official documents granting the 55th security team access to the Prime Minister's residence, saying, "The People's Power will form a special committee to investigate the truth."
We will investigate the matter and hold those responsible accountable."
