President Yoon's legal team files charges against the head of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the head of the National Investigation Agency for treason - South Korea

The defense team for South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol filed a criminal complaint with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on the 16th, in which they filed a criminal complaint against the head of the Crimes against High-Ranking Public Officials Investigation Agency, Oh Dong-Woon, and the National Police Agency's Woo Jong-soo.

"They ignored Articles 110 and 111 of the Civil Procedure Law and entered a military facility to arrest the president," he said. The defense team said, "This constitutes the crime of treason that has excluded state power, and in the process, they performed special public duties.
"They committed numerous crimes, including obstruction of justice, abuse of power, obstruction of the exercise of rights, and violation of the Military Secrets Protection Act," he said, emphasizing that this was an exercise of public power that undermines the rule of law.
