"We want to ease the sorrow of those who died in vain. I hope that the cause of this tragedy will be revealed transparently, without any cover-up or deception," he said.
Choi Sang-mok, acting president (Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister for Strategy and Finance), said, "With the same feelings as the bereaved families, we will do everything we can to heal the pain in your hearts and help you return to your daily lives."
"We will continue to provide support," he said, "I hope that he passes away peacefully and I pray for the repose of the deceased's soul."
