On the 18th January, Onew won the grand prize in the ‘Male Solo Artist of the Year’ category at the 2024 SUPERSOUND FESTIVAL, a major Asian super festival held in Macau.
Onew said "I am grateful that I was able to start 2025 with a meaningful award. I would like to accept it as a way to convey more comfort with better music to all those who have supported me. I will continue to do my best in everything I do to be an artist who conveys good influence."
SUPERSOUND FESTIVAL' is a music festival with an innovative format that combines an awards ceremony and concert, and is a festival created by K-pop artists and fans together beyond the framework of existing awards ceremonies.
On this day, Onew gave a pleasant greeting to the local audience with ‘Hola! Onew came forward to interact with the global audience more closely and performed ‘Charm’, ‘Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday’ and ‘Banzai’ in succession. The audience sang the highlights of the songs in Korean and responded with loud cheers and applause.
Finally, Onew chose ‘Winner’, the title track of his 4th mini-album, to convey the message "We are all winners" in any situation, leaving a deep impression and a lasting impression. As well as his excellent live performance, Onew's stage performance shone as he skillfully guided the audience's response.
On the other hand, Onew participated in the production and lyric writing of all songs on his 3rd mini-album ‘FLOW’ and 4th mini-album ‘CONNECTION’, transforming himself into a ‘complete solo artist’. In addition, Onew will hold his solo concert ‘2025 ONEW CONCERT [ONEW THE LIVE: CONNECTION]’ from 21st-23rd February at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park to meet his fans.
