KM Chart conducts January preference survey on ”BTS”, ”SHINee”, ”Stray Kids” etc. ... Newcomers are ”n.SSign”, ”TWS” etc.

Who will occupy the first protagonist who made K-MUSIC shine in the New Year?

The global standard K-Pop chart ‘KM Chart’ will conduct a preference survey (6 categories) for January 2025 until the 28th. Popular artists such as JIN and V of BTS (Bulletproof Boys' Troupe), Ong Yoo and Kee of SHINee, GOT7, Yong Tak, Lim Young Eun and Lee Chang Won were nominated as candidates for the categories, foretelling an intense voting battle.

In the K-MUSIC (sound source) category, JIN's (BTS) ‘I'll be there’ and ‘Running Wild’, ‘Winner’ by ‘SHINee’ On-Yoo, ‘Pleasure Shop’ by ‘SHINee’ Kee, ‘Warmth’ by Im Young-Eun, ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER's ‘Over the moon’ and 50 other songs were nominated. Songs from a variety of genres have been nominated evenly and a hot and close competition is expected.

The nominees in the K-MUSIC ARTIST category are also eminent. Starting with GOT7, who are back after a long absence, 30 popular artists including V (BTS), Yong Tak, Lee Chang Won, PLAVE, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN and G-DRAGON have been nominated.

In the HOT CHOICE (popular) male category, 30 artists (teams) including KANGDANIEL, ‘MONSTA X’, ‘BTOB’, ‘Stray Kids’ and ‘ATEEZ’, and in the female category, Kwon Eun Bi, ‘DREAMCATCHER’, Minni ((G)I-DLE), Tsuwi (TWICE) and 30 other groups compete.

The line-up of candidates for the first ‘best newcomer’ title of the year is also attracting attention: in the male ROOKIE (newcomer) category, 10 members (teams) including ‘XLOV’, ‘NEXZ’, ‘n.SSign’, ‘KickFlip’ and ‘TWS’; in the female category, ‘VVUP’, ‘BABYMONSTER ', “BLACKSWAN”, “Billlie”, “ODD YOUTH” and 10 other groups were nominated.

Voting for the KM Chart's January preference survey can be participated in via the applications ‘My One Pick’ and ‘Idol Champ’. The votes cast on the two applications are counted at a ratio of 50% each. Once the preference survey is completed, the final results are announced along with the vote tally, the judging panel's assessment, KM chart data scores and other objective indicators.

Meanwhile, the KM Chart, which is created together with the fans, is a monthly compilation/survey of six categories, providing data that has the power to be trusted.
